It’s a beautiful day to play in the pond followed It’s a beautiful day to play in the pond followed by a healthy roll on the grass. So much activity unfolding in the field today. Behaviour is communication and the horses are happy today. A child’s behaviour is also communication. Working alongside horses creates a calm, non-judgemental space that helps clients build emotional awareness and self-regulation, feel grounded and safe in their body, and develop trust, confidence, and connection. I am a registered psychotherapist providing trauma-informed, compassionate care tailored to each individual. I work primarily with children (age 7 and up), youth, women and couples. My approach is collaborative, respectful and focused on helping you move forward at your own pace. We are welcoming new clients. #equineassistedtherapy #psychotherapy #mentalhealth
Summer is demonstrating her increasing confidence Summer is demonstrating her increasing confidence as she holds space for her herd while Raven supervises nearby. Confidence grows when we feel safe enough to try. In equine-assisted psychotherapy, clients learn self-trust, emotional regulation, and communication skills through experiential therapy — not pressure. As a registered psychotherapist, I work with children, youth, and adults navigating anxiety, trauma and life transitions. Small moments can lead to big change. We are welcoming new clients. #confidencebuilding #equinetherapyOntario #mentalhealthsupport

We have spots available for our next workshop: At We have spots available for our next workshop: At the Threshold of Light: A Spring Equinox Journey with Horses and Expressive Arts. Sunday, March 22, 2026. $60 per person. 1-4 pm. Join us as we honour the moment when light and dark are in balance, and consciously choose what we will grow. The equinox is a moment of balance between what has been and what is becoming. Many life transitions live here — not fully released, not yet formed. We’ll explore how to be present in that threshold. This is an opportunity to: deepen your connection to the natural world and seasonal cycles; experience horses as sentient beings of balance, presence and authenticity. You will engage in a ground-based, non-riding experience, with emphasis on choice and observation; support personal reflection on emergence, transition, growth and intention; and integrate body, heart, and imagination through expressive arts. No previous art or horse experience is required. This is a small group gathering. The equinox is a threshold, not a destination. Balance between light and dark is dynamic, not static. Growth begins below the surface before it becomes visible. Email jgarland@themaneintent.ca to register. Details on our calendar page themaneintent.ca #equineassistedlearning #equinox #wellness #spring
