We’re pleased to share that The Mane Intent will be hosting the 2023 FEEL (Facilitated Equine Experiential Learning) Alumni Conference in June at our beautiful farm just outside of Peterborough, Ontario. FEEL Alumni are those individuals who have completed this training developed and delivered by Horse Spirit Connections (HSC). Today, there are over 300 graduates from around the world who have completed FEEL Certification. Nurturing FEEL is the conference theme.
“We are really looking forward to welcoming FEEL Alumni to our farm to meet our herd and engage in professional development and networking intended to build and strengthen their own practice and client offerings,” says The Mane Intent’s founder/program director, Jennifer Garland, RP, who completed FEEL training in 2013. 2023 represents her 10th year as FEEL Alumni. FEEL training and certification is foundational to our offerings at The Mane Intent, established in 2014.
Eager for training to complement her FEEL Certification, over a 10 year period, Garland has become a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and has also completed:

According to HSC’s web site, “the FEEL Approach is promoting transformation and personal growth for humans through the wisdom of the horse. FEEL is a unique collaboration between horses and humans where the horse is a sentient teacher and plays a leading role in guiding transformational journeys of healing, personal growth, and spiritual connection. The power of the horse’s presence, sensitivity and intuition is magnified by the horse’s conscious choice to partner freely with the FEEL practitioner in facilitating a process of self-discovery and powerful life changes for the person. At the heart of the FEEL approach are structured experiential interactions with the horses that help people come home to their true authentic self.” You can learn more about FEEL Certification here. Wendy Golding and Andre Leclipteux, Founders of the FEEL Approach, both apprenticed and trained with Linda Kohanov at Eponaquest.
