A Warm Herd Welcome to Viviane Burmester

“I have experienced the power of horses to change us, their honesty as well as their infinite trust once you open your heart to them and allow them to touch your soul.” – Viviane Burmester

In December, 2015, I received an email out of blue from a young woman who described herself as a third semester student of International Business Management at the University of Applied Science in Hamburg, Germany. She noted that she is a passionate horse person that understands horses as a mirror of ourselves, bringing out the best in us. She had visited our web site, found that our message resonated with her and decided to reach out to explore the possibility of applying for a 20-week internship at The Mane Intent that was part of her studies.

She described herself as a “communicative, team-oriented and open-minded person, who has a strong interest in sustainable and ethically reasonable business management.” She also noted that she was very creative and hoped to enrich our services with her ideas, writing and Photoshop skills. In closing, she noted that she had personally experienced the ability of horses to illuminate the potential that lies within us and was looking forward to connecting.

After a few Skype sessions, email exchanges and a chat with my family and our herd about this unique opportunity, I decided to trust the universe and move forward with this arrangement.

So on behalf of the herd, we’re pleased to announce the arrival of Viviane Burmester to The Mane Intent effective February 28, 2017. Viviane will be capturing her experience at The Mane Intent through a series of blog posts that we will be featuring here. In her own words, here’s what Viviane has to share about her next few months with the herd:

“Coming from Hamburg, Germany, I am very grateful that I will do my 5 month internship at The Mane Intent supporting the wonderful work this company is doing. I will be supporting Jennifer and the horses during the workshops and sessions as well as I will be working behind the scenes to expand the popularity of The Mane Intent. Having experienced the power of horses to change us, their honesty as well as their infinite trust once you open your heart to them and allow them to touch your soul, I am highly motivated to support Jennifer with the great work she is doing. I am looking forward to giving other people the chance to experience the same feeling which made me fall in love with these wonderful creatures. I am looking forward to meeting you at The Mane Intent.”

So please join me in extending a warm welcome to Viviane as she gains some additional experience and builds her own personal wisdom during her time here with us and our horses.
