The Mane Intent Seeks Program Partners

If you are part of a non-profit, government agency, community charity, Board of Education, Family Health Team or wellness collaborative, we would love to hear from you.

The Mane Intent welcomes the opportunity to develop and deliver equine-inspired wellness and learning programs intended to help individuals cope with and address a number of challenges including grief, addiction, trauma, eating disorders, anxiety, illness and depression. Learn how horses can help here.

Our programming is strengths-based and trauma-informed, designed to help individuals from all walks of life develop stronger coping skills, confidence, leadership, enhanced wellness and greater resilience. We have a gentle, relaxed herd full of character, spirit and heart. Each horse brings a unique personality and story as they engage in on-the-ground activities in partnership with clients. We have access to a network of qualified individuals to support program delivery.

Our world is complex and many social issues are equally complex and connected. They are best addressed when people and organizations work together. Program funders are also looking for community partnerships that reflect charities, social enterprise, educators and government working together to combine resources and expertise for community enhancement and greater community vitality.

For our programming partners, we bring extensive experience in effective collaboration and program development, including grant proposal writing; marketing, communications and facilitation experience; project management skills; and equine-assisted-learning program development and delivery. Learn more about Jennifer Garland’s corporate experience, lectures, awards and publications here.

Program partners have exclusive access to a beautiful century farm that includes a herd of 11 horses, goats, cats and a donkey; historic barns; a new indoor arena for program delivery; beautiful perennial gardens; a stone labyrinth for mindful walks; and 20 acres of sugar bush with trails for forest bathing and meditation.

We would welcome an opportunity to create a sustainable and effective partnership with you. Please contact us at 705-295-6618 or contact Jennifer Garland at jgarland@themaneintent.ca to explore what’s possible when we work together to make our communities feel better.
