Our New Web Site Designed to Inspire Growth and Well-being

We’ve launched a new web site for The Mane Intent with a refreshing new look and feel designed to inspire confident growth. You’ll find a full description of our expanded offerings of psychotherapy and equine-assisted psychotherapy. Therapy appointments can now be booked directly through the web site. Find out more about our services here.

You’ll also find information on our farm experiences including equine-inspired wellness workshops, professional development opportunities and our newest program: Equine-Assisted Learning Facilitator Training to support Building Internal Resilience Through Horses. Learn more here.

Check out research results from Building Internal Resilience Through Horses, a four-year community research initiative between The Mane Intent, Kawartha Sexual Assault Centre and Trent University funded by Public Health Agency of Canada. Learn more here.

The creative presentation of green and orange give the site a fresh new look. Green symbolizes new beginnings, growth, creativity and safety and security. It is often described as the colour of life representing renewal, nature and energy. It is associated with meanings of growth and harmony. These are all characteristics of the experiences we nurture and inspire here at the farm.

Orange is intended to uplift, give confidence and invites us to have a sharper awareness of our surroundings. It is the colour of encouragement and here we encourage clients to reflect, explore, ‘restory’ for enhanced renewal and resilience.

We hope you find our new site visually appealing, easier to navigate with helpful, relevant information to support your well-being. A huge thanks is extended to Drew Whatman of Birds N’ Bees Illustration and Design for his support in designing and launching the new site. Learn more about Drew’s work here.
